Description
This is a less invasive form of bone augmentation, which allows the maxillary sinus membrane to be lifted without directly exposing it, through a hole drilled for the implant.
What does the procedure look like?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia.

The surgeon makes a hole in the bone at the site of the planned implant.

Through this opening, the membrane of the maxillary sinus is gently lifted, and the resulting space is filled with bone substitute material.

Often the implant is placed immediately during the same procedure.
